Your English trainer will tailor your course entirely to suit your requirements and pace. You will practice topics that are essential to your particular job. Grammar and vocabulary will be dealt with as appropriate for your goals. But it doesn’t stop there. Learning a language is about more than just grammar rules and vocab. The culture is important too. You will learn about the differences between British, General American and Global English. Should you be writing practise or practice? Organisation or organization? Colour or color? And why shouldn’t you write gonna in formal e-mails even though you hear people say this all the time? “Understanding the Anglo-Saxon culture and mindset is just as important,” says English language trainer Caroline Timmerman. Half-baked English may make for amusing anecdotes but we prefer to avoid that. How? You will find out on the course.
