For example, you learn why you should address your Spanish-speaking business partner using the formal usted . “Understanding the Spanish culture and mindset is just as important,” says our Spanish language trainer. The siesta might seem like a cliché but that doesn’t make it any the less important. That is why you should aim not to schedule a meeting between 12:00 and 14:00. As a foreigner who recently began working in the public sector in Belgium, and being a native French speaker, I believe it's crucial to make an effort to learn the mother tongues of other countries.
