Oh, summer! Now that your language trainer is on holiday, this is the ideal time to continue your language training alone on the BLCC e-learning platform. Or just start an e-learning course yourself now that you have a bit more time. Even if you start working alone on the platform, we won't let you down. Here are 7 tips to get the most out of your e-learning course.
Get to know the platform.
Once you have logged onto the platform, you will see the course 'How to use this e-learning platform'. In less than 20 minutes, you will learn how to use the platform successfully. How do I earn points and badges? What content is available? Where do I find grammar? And so much more!
2. Your objectives
Set your learning objectives before you start.
You are the pilot of your learning path; you decide where you want to go. A successful language course is one that fulfils your needs and wishes. How? At the end of each business case you will find key phrases: a list of words and expressions from the cases. Download the key phrases and decide in advance whether the business case is relevant to you and your learning goals.
3. Planning
A goal without a plan is just a wish.
Have you chosen the business cases that are interesting to you? Good! Now you need to make time in your diary to engage in e-learning. And stick to it for better results. A new routine is always a challenge. But after some time, e-learning will be fully integrated into your working week. 30 minutes in the morning, at lunch or in the evening? The choice is yours. But stick with it!
4. Grammatica
Correction of stuck mistakes, once and for all.
Admittedly, practising grammar is sometimes boring. And yet it is important. Good news: the grammar exercises on the platform are fun, interactive and short. Schedule some time each week to practise grammar and set yourself a goal. 2 grammar topics a week? That's already a good start
5. Your knowledge
Your learning curve knows no bounds.
Done all the business cases relevant to you? Time to repeat and expand! In the 'Repetition & Extension' section, you will find courses for all levels (from A0 to B2). You can rehearse previous chapters there. Are you currently at B1? Then repeat A2! Finished repeating? On to a higher level, for more challenge. Your learning curve knows no bounds.
6. Your success
Be proud of yourself and share your success with others.
Finished most of your course? Great! Then you will receive a certificate based on the number of points and badges you collected during your course. But how do you collect them? By actively working on the platform! Every action you do increases your score. So don't miss a single opportunity! Achieved your certificate? Share your success with others in your network on LinkedIn and mention @BLCC!
7. Esposure
Language training alone will not teach you a new language.
Learning a new language just by e-learning? Then you probably won't get there. To make real progress, you need to expose yourself to the foreign language. As often as possible. Integrate the foreign language into your daily life! Speak with colleagues, listen to foreign-language media, use the language in private situations too, ...
Exposure is the key to success.
